PILLAGER -- A sixth-grade reading class at Pillager Elementary School gave two performances of "The Case of the Punjabi Ruby" by Frank Willment April 10 and 11.

The second- and third-grade audiences enjoyed figuring out the "who done it." The second performance was for sixth-graders, who became amateur detectives to help solve the mystery.

The characters were Madame Martine (Cheryl Wulff), Mona La Marr (Katrina Black), Silas Small (Matthew Greenheck), Sardu Singh (Shawn Baron), Barb Cabot (Sarah Wendland), Sergeant O'Shea (Joey Kaufmann), Officer Akimoto (Jamie Pearson), Narrator Nick Cates and directors Stephanie Burnham and Nicole Warren.

For the second performance many characters switched roles so all students had speaking parts.
