Posted: Wednesday, April 23, 2003

A regional program that helps displaced homemakers find new careers needs silent auction items for a May 12 fund-raiser at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

The fund-raiser is planned due to a loss of financial support from the state. The event , which will be 5-7:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room, will include a dessert buffet and musical entertainment.

Lucy Franz, director, said silent auction items already donated include body massages and other personal comfort services.

A suggested donation of $10 will be appreciated from those attending. For more information, contact Franz at CLC at 855-8010.
