Left-hander Nikki Anderson and right-hander Karlie Manton combined on a three-hit shutout as the Brainerd Warriors remained unbeaten with a 7-0 victory over the Sartell Sabres in Central Lakes Conference play Tuesday at Adamson Field.

In four innings Anderson struck out nine and allowed one hit and no walks.

Manton finished, allowing no runs and two hits with no walks.

Anna Tadych was 3-for-4 with a double and Hallsey Olson was 2-4 to lead Brainerd at the plate.

Ashley Tibbitts was 2-3, Jenni Smolke had a two-run triple in the first inning and Della Gramer drove in two Warrior runs.

"Defensively, we played very well," Warriors assistant coach Dan Bzdok said. "One thing we've been working on this year is trying to get consistent on both sides of the ball, offensively and defensively. Today, we started seeing some spark on both sides. If we can continue on from that we can only get better.

"It was one of those games where you felt satisfied when you were done. We got great pitching again, and that's the key."
