7th Annual Spring Expos
Brainerd Art Club and Crow Wing County Historical Society present the 7th Annual Spring Expos at the Museum, 320 Laurel Street in Brainerd, May 13 through June 17. Along with regional artists juried works, there will be a children's art show of work by District #181 Elementary School children with Michelle Pfeiffer collecting the work. The exhibit will culminate with an art sale and antiques appraisal on June 16 from 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and June 17 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Crow Wing County Historical Museum. Deerwood and Bay Lake Senior Citizens will meet at noon Wednesday at the Deerwood Legion. Bring your own eating utensils and a dish to share. Lois Harp and Ruth Yerke will host the club. The Garrison Kitchen Band will entertain. All seniors are welcome.

Brainerd B.N. Veterans had their annual chapter dinner and decided to dispense with the Monday meeting. The next meeting will be May 23. Members are asked to remember the annual garage sale May 13.
Nisswa Garden Club
Dorothy Johnson will present a program on container gardening at the Nisswa Garden Club luncheon meeting at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. The Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary will have a luncheon on Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost: $3.50. The spring fling will feature a salad luncheon, roll, dessert and beverage. Call in orders are welcomed.
Charlie Peterson Community Gardens annual meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Brainerd Public Library. Gardeners are encouraged to attend the meeting to pay their rental fees for the coming year.
