Multiple Sclerosis walk

The MS Walk will be today at Kiwanis Park with registration beginning at 11 a.m. The walk will start and end at Kiwanis Park. Dress accordingly for the weather.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity's meeting place has changed. The group will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the new office warehouse facility, 11575 County Road 45 S., Brainerd. Call 828-8504 or 828-8517 for more information.

Brainerd American Legion Color Guard

The Color Guard of the Brainerd American Legion will have a steak fry at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the American Legion Club, 708 Front St. Cost: $7.50.

Brainerd Legion Auxiliary Luncheon

Brainerd American Legion Auxiliary will have a luncheon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday. Hot chicken salad, vegetable, dessert and beverage will be served. Cost: $3.50. Call-in orders are welcome at 829-2249. Proceeds will go toward the Auxiliary programs.

Brainerd American Legion Smelt Fry

Brainerd Area Zonta

The Brainerd Area Zonta program meeting will be at noon Wednesday at the Sawmill Inn. Members will hear a presentation on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Anyone interested in learning more about Zonta should call Shirley at 829-0062.

Deerwood, Bay Lake Senior Citizens Club

DEERWOOD -- The Deerwood and Bay Lake Senior Citizens Club will meet at noon Wednesday at the Deerwood Legion Club room. Bring eating utensils and a dish to share. Phyllis Flannigan, Paul Musil and Don and Lila Wheeler will host the lunch.

Class of 1944

The Washington High School class of 1944 will have a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Sawmill Inn.

BNSF Veterans Association

The chapter potluck meeting will be 6 p.m. Tuesday at the VFW. Lunch committee is Roger and Ginger Gunderson and Al and Elenore La Douceur. There will be a final discussion on the chapter dinner.

Nisswa Garden Club

NISSWA -- Jim Sherwood, co-owner of the Treehouse and a member of the Nisswa Garden Club, will present "Annuals on the Cutting Edge" at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Nisswa Garden Club meeting at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. CWC Parent Mentor Program garage sale

The Crow Wing County Parent Mentor Program garage sale will be from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Temple Baptist Center, 923 Oak St. All proceeds will go toward the Parent Mentor Program's family horse camp.

Brainerd Area Art Club

The Brainerd Area Art Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Northwind Grille. Dinner will be at 5:30 p.m.

Free aviation seminar

PINE RIVER -- Princeton Automated Flight Service Station and the River Flyers Pilots Association will present a free introduction to all area pilots and interested parties of the services the FSS provides at 7 p.m. Thursday at Witt's Aircraft Repair hangar at the Pine River Regional Airport. American Association of University Women

The American Association of University Women will hold its annual meeting and dinner at 6 p.m. Monday at the Ivy Room. The meal will be two soups, a variety of sandwiches, dessert bars, coffee and tea. Program: Deb Sisson with women's health issues. Cost: $8.

Community Gardens meeting

The Charlie Peterson Community Gardens annual meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Friday at Brainerd Public Library. Gardeners are encouraged to attend the meeting to pay their rental fees for the coming year. Vacant gardens are available to rent. Cost is $20 per year for a 25- by 75-foot plot with water included. For more information, call Don Stang at 829-9292.

Nisswa American Legion dance

NISSWA -- There will be a dance from 7-11 p.m., with a dinner at 6:30 p.m., Friday at the Nisswa American Legion. The live music will be with Diane Saumers and friends.

There will also be live music and dancing at 4:30 p.m. April 29. Hosted by Bluestrain, there will be guest appearances by the area's best musicians. Sloppy joes and chips will be served for $2.

Brainerd Area Retired Educators

The Brainerd Area Retired Educators will meet at noon Monday at United Methodist Church in Brainerd for lunch, program and business. All retired teachers and school administrators are welcome. The next meetings will be Mondays, June 18, Sept. 17 and Oct. 15.

First Aid class

St. Joseph's Medical Center is sponsoring a first aid class from 6-10 p.m. Tuesday. The course is certified by the American Safety and Health Institute and participants receive a completion card. Fee: $30. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 828-7624.
