Tech edges BHS netters

ST. CLOUD -- The Brainerd Warriors won three 3-set matches but still fell 4-3 Thursday to defending Central Lakes Conference and Section 8AA champions St. Cloud Tech.

Paul Tuchscherer claimed one of the Warriors three wins by defeating Dan Jacobs 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. John Cairns, at No. 2, earned the second win by defeating Mike Engdahl 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 and the No. 2 doubles team of Matt Steiger and Oliver Reiter beat Ty Hall and Ryan Beduhn 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
