AUSTIN -- Rodney Edward Golberg, 61, Austin, formerly of Little Falls, died Sunday, April 16, 2000, at Austin Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Mitchell County, Iowa, to Harvey and Hazel (Nelson) Golberg Sr. He attended Mona grade school and graduated from Lyle High School in 1957. He graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College of St. Peter in 1961. He received a master's degree in social work from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. He married Marlys W. Skov on Aug. 12, 1961, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church of Austin. He worked as a family therapist at the Mental Health Center in Waverly, Iowa, Northern Pines Mental Health Center in Little Falls and at the Sheriffs Youth Programs in Austin.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Todd Golberg, Rochester, and Bradley Golberg, Lakeville; five grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey Golberg Jr., Owatonna.
Services were at St. Olaf Lutheran Church of Austin with the Rev. Harold Usgaard officiating. Burial was in Rose Creek Enterprise Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or to the Austin Medical Center Hospice.
