Warriors win tourney

DETROIT LAKES - The Brainerd Warriors edged Moorhead 3-2 and West Fargo 4-2 and 11-3 to win the Detroit Lakes tournament Saturday.

In Game One, Brainerd scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the win. Steph Lambrecht was 2-for-4 with a triple, Hallsey Olson was 2-3 and Della Gramer was 1-3 with a triple. Winning pitcher Karlie Manton allowed seven hits and four walks and struck out nine in a complete game.

In the first game against West Fargo, winning pitcher Nikki Anderson allowed five hits and struck out 10 with no walks in a complete game.

Anderson pitched another complete game in the nightcap. This time she allowed four hits and no walks and struck out 12.

Olson was 2-4 with two RBIs, Ashley Tibbitts was 1-2 with a double and two RBIs and Jenni Smolke was 1-3 with a double in the second game.
