Jeanette M. Wiltz, age 82, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd, Minn.
Funeral mass will be at St. Andrew's Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 21, at 11 a.m., with Father Gabriel Waweru officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-7 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Brainerd, Minn. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Jeanette Mathilda Wiltz was born to Leonard and Olive (Renish) Burgeson on Aug. 1, 1926, in Barnesville, Minn., where she grew up and graduated from Barnesville High School.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Wiltz on April 13, 1946, in Duluth, Minn. They moved to Brainerd in 1966.
Jeanette enjoyed going for long walks, reading, big band music, crossword puzzles, water color painting and baking. She was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved camping with the entire family. Jeanette was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Women of the Moose.
Jeanette will be lovingly missed by her children, sons Curtis (Cindy) Wiltz, of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Steve Wiltz, of Minneapolis, Minn., and daughter Rhonda (Dennis) Bock, of Brainerd; sisters Fern Klein of Barnesville, Minn., and Virginia Anderson, of Onamia, Minn.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Olive; her husband, Raymond; and sister, Ruth Johnson.
