ST. CLOUD (AP) -- One of six men sought in connection with a crack cocaine ring in St. Cloud has turned himself in to police.
Charles Patrick ''Chico'' Jones, 23, made his first court appearance Tuesday in St. Cloud and was being held on $50,000 bail.
Authorities were still looking for the other five suspects.
Members of the Minnesota Gang Strike Force conducted a two-year investigation into what they said was an extensive network of drug dealing among two rival Chicago gangs.
The gangs formed an alliance in Minnesota to sell their drugs, police said. Crack cocaine originating in Chicago was delivered weekly to Minneapolis, then to St. Cloud and on to the Fargo-Moorhead area, police said.
Eleven people have been charged with racketeering. Six of those also have been charged with varying degrees of controlled substance crimes.
