DNR responds to grass fires

The Brainerd office of the DNR responded to two grass fires late Wednesday.
The first, reported at 5 p.m., was at the 10000 block of St. Mathias Road, near Business Highway 371. The Brainerd Fire Department assisted with the fire.
The second fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. near Garrison. The Garrison Fire Department assisted.
It was unknown how many acres were burned in either fire.
