Crosby-Ironton senior guard Megan Zillmer was named the Mid-State Conference most valuable player by conference coaches.
Zillmer, along with C-I's Alisha Moritz, Katie Swanhorst and Sam Stanfield, were named to the all-conference team. Teammate Kassie Duffney received honorable mention.
Mindy Howard, Emily Lueck and Robin Soukup of Pequot Lakes were named to the all-conference team along with Courtney Volkmann and Brigetta Berg of Wadena-Deer Creek and Nikki Pearson of Staples-Motley.
Pequot's Katie Finn, S-M's Cassie Pearson and Caitlin Robinson and W-DC's Steph Perkins earned honorable mention.
Hilts, Ward, Goerges Pequot Lakes MVPs
Senior Brandon Hilts and sophomores Michael Goerges and Michael Ward were named most valuable players of the Pequot Lakes boys' basketball team.
Hits was also earned the coaches award.
Goerges was named the playmaker and most improved player. Ward led the team in rebounding and free throw percentage.
Others earning awards were Jonas Dale as the assist leader and Clayton Foster was named the team's top defensive player.

Junior forward Mindy Howard was named the most valuable player of the Section 8-2A runner-up Pequot Lakes Patriots girls' basketball team.
Howard was among the team leaders in points, rebounds, assists and steals and surpassed 1,000 career points.
Freshman Emily Lueck was named defensive player, most improved and rookie of the year for the Patriots. She also was received the play of the year award.
Katie Finn led the team in rebounds with 174, Madison Engen earned the Patriot award and Robin Soukup led the team in assists with 151.
