The Central Lakes College Raiders committed seven errors in two games leading to 7-6 and 6-3 losses to St. Cloud Tech Saturday in Central Division baseball.
Aaron Jenkins finished a combined 4-of-8 with a double.
In the first game, Jenkins nailed a one-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning, but the Raiders couldn't bring the sophomore home.
Zach Johnson was 2-4 with a triple, Justin Huether was 2-2 and Beau Mertens was 1-2 in the first game.
In the second game, Adam Johnson was 2-3 with a triple and Paul Williams was 1-2.
"The problem is too many errors," said Raiders coach Warren Mertens. "That's pretty much it. We gave up three errors in the first game and four errors in the second. That's not good enough. We've allowed too many unearned runs. Looking at our whole season if we commit zero to two errors a game we would be closer to 500, but we've given up too many free runs."
