Barbary Coast to close out Lakes Area Concert season

Barbary Coast Dixieland Band will perform 7:30 p.m. April 25 at Tornstrom Auditorium, Washington Middle School, Brainerd.

The performance by the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame members will conclude the Lakes Area Concert Association season. It is open to season membership holders.

The band, known for its combination of zany comedy and vocals, has been performing since 1967.

The association announced the line-up for the 2003-04 season. Memberships will be sold before the Barbary Coast Dixieland Band concert.

Next season's schedule includes the Butch Thompson Big Three (blues/opera), the Prudence Johnson Trio (singer/guitar/piano), the Thuringer Salon Quintet (traditional European music), the State Street Strutters (jazz) and Alice in Wonderland Follies (ballet/vaudeville comedy).
