House explodes today in Staples

STAPLES -- A natural gas explosion blew out windows and lifted up the flooring in an older rental home in Staples this morning.
The renter suffered minor cuts to his hand in the explosion.
The house explosion was reported at about 8 a.m. today, said Staples Police Officer Vern Johnson.
The renter was home at the time of the gas explosion.
"He was an awful lucky guy," said Johnson.
No information was available on the cause of the explosion.
