Raiders win one of four over weekend
COLLEGE BASEBALL
FERGUS FALLS - Too many costly errors led to two more defeats for the Central Lakes College baseball team, which dropped a doubleheader to the Fergus Falls Spartans 12-2 and 14-8 in Central Division play Sunday.

Jason Sather and Ricky Drew each doubled and Chris Hoffman went 1-for-2 in the opening game loss. Drew also had an RBI.
In the second game Tyler Maher was 4-4 with two doubles and Sather went 2-2 with an RBI. Matt Siegel also doubled and drove in a run.
"We're struggling a bit on fielding," Raiders coach Joel Lofstrom said. "We have some work to do and we're stretching our pitching more by not making that extra play. But the bats are coming around and we're hitting better. It's just nice to be outside playing baseball."

CLC plays eight games this week, six of which are home.
Wednesday the Raiders host
Fergus Falls at 2 p.m., Thursday they play Mesabi at 2 p.m. and Saturday they take on Vermilion at noon.
Saturday's games
After dropping the first game 9-7 to the St. Cloud Technical College Cyclones, the Raiders picked up their first win of the season by winning game two 10-9.
CLC scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on for the win in the second game as Siegel got the win on the mound.
Maher went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored while Siegel and Drew each added two hits and drove in two runs for CLC. Brad Waytashek and Sather each finished with two hits apiece.
In the opening game the Raiders battled back, scoring four runs in the fifth inning to tie the game at 7-7 but the Cyclones plated two runs in the top of the seventh and held on for the win.

CLC's Ricky Drew led the team offensively with a double and two RBIs.
