Alice S. Willis

STAPLES -- Alice Sedona Willis, 83, Staples, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at Greater Staples Care Center.

She was born Nov. 28, 1918, in Baker, Mont., to Christ and Martha (Hansen) Johnson. She graduated from Hawley High School. She lived in California for a few years. She worked in Detroit Lakes as a waitress. She married Arthur Willis on Jan. 28, 1942, in Detroit Lakes. She was a member of the Staples United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Farber, Motley, and Rita Hopkins, Lakeville; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Her husband and a sister, Florence, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church in Staples with Pastor Wes Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples and an hour before services Thursday at the church.
