'College Golf Combine' coming to Madden's Resort

Posted: Tuesday, April 14, 2009

A unique golf instructional program designed to prepare high school golfers hoping to play at the college level is coming to Madden's Resort in Brainerd.

The inaugural "College Golf Combine" is scheduled for July 6-7 at Madden's.

Golfers who attend the combine will concentrate on far more than just swing mechanics. The combine is designed to teach college golf hopefuls the importance of physical fitness, learning how to get the most out of practice sessions, fine-tuning the mental aspect of the sport and how to get your name out there to potential schools and coaches to start the recruiting process. The combine will evaluate golfers age 14-18 on the skills needed to get to the next level. Players also will receive feedback on their strengths and weaknesses and how they are relative to the college game.

Cost of the Combine is $799 and includes two nights lodging at Madden's Resort, all meals and also golf at Pine Beach East and West along with reduced rates at The Classic. For more information on the Combine, call Chris Foley at Chris Foley Golf Schools at 1-800-642-5363 or e-mail to: info@chrisfoleygolf.com.
