Jackie Wiese, Verndale, participated in the 2008 STLF (Students Today Leaders Forever) Pay It Forward Tour over spring break. The Pay It Forward Tour is a nine-day trip across the country, where students team up with community organizations in each of the cities they visit and are faced with different social challenges. Wiese is a senior majoring in elementary education.

Samantha Kraft, daughter of Al and Denise Blackwell-Kraft, Brainerd, has been named to the fall dean's list at the University of Minnesota-Duluth's College of Education and Human Service Professions.

Hannah Burchill, a graduate of Brainerd High School, is an executive producer for the Concordia College campus TV news program, "Concordia On-Air." She will graduate from the college in May.
