THIEF RIVER FALLS -- The Central Lakes College Raiders softball team flexed a little muscle, both offensively and on defense in sweeping a pair of Northern Division games from the Northland College Pioneers Wednesday.

CLC blanked Northland 7-0 in the first game and came from behind in the second game, scoring four runs in the seventh inning to win 9-6.

Raiders pitcher Amber Buttler dominated atop the mound in picking up both wins. In game one Buttler tossed seven shutout innings, giving up just two hits while fanning 10 Pioneer batters and walking one. In the second game, Buttler came on in relief of starter Shannon Smith, surrendering just one hit over the final three innings.

Amber Buttler won both games for CLC.
