The next course of action for the city of Brainerd, in its efforts to tear down the Ransford may be for the local Housing and Redevelopment Authority to attempt purchasing the property and then sell bonds for its demolition.

Brainerd employment took an upward surge of 66 jobs during the past month. Employment now stands at 4,997 a total of 181 more jobs than the 4,816 reported at this time last year.

Bluntly stated, Brainerd needs more payroll. The chief payroll of this town is the Northern Pacific Railway Shops. In the summer the city derives increasing benefits from its tourist trade. There must be an enlargement of the dairy and agricultural country.
