Democrats are trying to ensure another class of voters for upcoming elections, and at what cost?
The very worst administration in history is now trying to push their illegal immigrant bill that will give amnesty to millions of illegals. Yes, I said illegals. At a time when Americans are suffering and need jobs, Obama and his minions are attempting to gather future generations of votes for democrats at the expense of real Americans.
I doubt that any outrage will come of it though, because it will not be hyped by the media like the big bonuses of executives across the country. The media will click their boots in lock step with the mighty one.
His majesty Obama has patronized the hispanic community throughout his campaign, and while the king owns both houses, now is his time to act with his amnesty and open border policies. Obama, with 67 percent of the hispanic vote last November, will now pay his constituents back with this fast track to amnesty, socialism and the complete destruction of the United States that anyone over 30 years old will see for themselves. This will be a slap in the face of all immigrants who came to the greatest country on earth legally, and most assuredly will burden them as well.
Oh and incidentally, Obama will draw no distinction in who pays for this via conservative or liberal. Elections do have consequences for all parties involved.
For anyone who says this issue is partisan, I screamed the loudest when President Bush and McCain tried this nonsense as well!
You'll never see this in the media
MSNBC is currently running an on-line survey - giving President Obama a grade.
As on Friday (April 10) nearly 2 million people have voted. Here are results: A 29 percent; B - 6.2 percent; C 5.5 percent; D- 15 percent; F 44 percent.
That's nearly 60 percent giving him a grade of D or F.!! The media will never publish results like that for their darling. Check it out for yourself at msnbc.msn.com.
Imagining a depression
What if we had a depression? Don't worry, you third and fourth generation welfare recipients wouldn't have to worry. But your younger generation might have to give up a few things like your car, (the fresh air and exercise will do you good), your wireless, internet, cable, I-pod, X-box, and heaven forbid, your cell phone! You would have to break up with your girlfriend or boyfriend face to face rather than text them, if you have the guts. What do you do now? You go swimming in one of our many lakes, fishing, (with a real fishing rod), hunting with a real rifle (too bad Nintendo), play sandlot baseball or parking lot basketball or all kinds of fresh air things.
You may have to give up Whoppers, Big Macs, pizzas and subs, and actually eat some good old home cooking. Which means you might have to learn to cook. You might even plant a garden. Of course that means work, so cancel that. But don't worry, thanks to welfare and the FDIC, it probably can't happen. In the mean time people, please get those taxes paid, some 20 million illegal aliens are counting on them.
God Bless the U.S.A.

Throwing good money after bad
The Dispatch recently carried an article stating that Minnesota No. 6 and U.S. 210 are to be rebuilt from Ironton to Deerwood. Great! This has been needed for some time now.
I sincerely hope that the DOT will do what they did when U.S. 210 was rebuilt from Brainerd to Ironton. The blacktop was removed and recycled and the old concrete was broken up, removed and recycled. A good roadbed was thus prepared and that produced a durable highway. This was not done on the section of Minnesota 6 and U.S. 210 from Crosby to Deerwood along the north side of Serpent Lake.
If this concrete is not removed, the new blacktop will revert to its current rough condition in a short time. We've lived along this highway since 1968 and have watched the breakup of new overlays occur several times. Please do not throw good money after bad, DOT. Don't do a halfway job. Do the job correctly or spend the funds elsewhere. The outcome is predictable without the removal of the old concrete.
