LITTLE FALLS -- Effie M. Van Epps, 89, Little Falls, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at her daughter's home in Little Falls.

She was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Minneapolis to George and Emma (Kuehn) Hibbard. She graduated from North High School in Minneapolis. She attended business college for one year. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper for the Feist-Blanchard Co., a wholesale auto supply company, in Minneapolis from 1933-1946. She married William B. Van Epps on March 14, 1943, in Wisconsin. They lived in Minneapolis until retiring to Little Falls in 1958. She worked at the Pine Grove Grocery Store, was a cook at the Canteen, worked for Cliff Buck Reality and Crestliner Boat Works in Little Falls before retiring to Pine Grove Manor in September of 1990. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and the Randall VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Marge Schuett, Little Falls; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Her husband, a grandson, and two brothers, Everett and Harold Hibbard, died earlier.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with the Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
