I believe there are leash laws in Brainerd for dogs. We live in southeast Brainerd and almost every day we run into people who don't have their dogs leashed. This usually happens at the Jaycees Park or on the Paul Bunyan Trail by Bane Park. We're sick of it. We have small children and have had dogs come at us. Now my son is afraid to walk the trail unless my husband is with. I have a feeling if some fines were handed out, people would start leashing their dogs in short order.
District could save $30,000
If the school district wants to save money they should only have one kitchen manager at Forestview. We don't have two principals any more and it doesn't seem cost effective when we already have a food service director. Seems to me we're paying out a lot of money for jobs that people are doing double duty on. As a taxpayer and parent I'm outraged we're paying more to women who haven't graduated from high school let alone college than we are to some teachers in our district. Let's make better use of our money and save $30,000 a year.
Instead of the administrative employees of the Washington administrative building whining about having to move a block from their car to their work, why doesn't the school system get a shuttle bus to shuttle them over every day? That's a long way to walk if it's raining or sleeting and the shuttlebus with the money the school wastes shouldn't be hard to come up with.
You wouldn't print my inquiry about the cigarette tax but you can sympathize with the poor employee crybabies that have to walk a whole block from the parking lot to work. Gee, how terrible can life get?
Tickets could be written
Just curious why 210 West Central Speedway isn't patrolled from Baxter to Pillager? You take your life in your hands every time you travel this road. Many tickets could be given out daily.
