CROSBY - Consolidated Telecommunications Co. of Brainerd recently announced the purchase agreement for C-I Communications has been approved.
The agreement was conditional upon a 2/3 approval, which was voted upon by the members of Emily Cooperative on March 30.
CTC and C-I Communications will immediately begin working on the details of the transition. CTC will continue to offer Crosby and Ironton customers the same services and pricing they have today. The transition to CTC should be finalized by the second quarter of 2009. Once customers transition to the CTC network, CTC will begin the implementation of equipment to offer TV services to customers of the Crosby and Ironton area to be completed by end of the year 2009. CTC will continue to operate staff out of the current C-I office.
CTC telecommunications company is based in Brainerd. The company was formed in 1952. Emily Cooperative Telephone Co. is a full-service telecommunications company based in Emily. Formed in 1975, the company serves Emily, Fifty Lakes, Little Pine and Fairfield townships.
