Cold air lingered over New England and snow fell in the Midwest today, while thunderstorms and sleet sliced from North Dakota to Texas. Temperatures rebounded to seasonable levels across the nation.
The storm system that plowed through the Northeast over the weekend was expected to continue to push off the northern New England coast. A second storm system was forecast to move into the Ohio Valley and spread into the Great Lakes.
More light snow was predicted in northern New York through Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
