Logan Sasse has his sights set on another state tournament for the Pine River-Backus boys' golf team.
The junior went to his first Class 1A tournament last year and is the oldest returning letterwinner for the Tigers.
"We're a very young and inexperienced team with lots of potential," said head coach Mark Gonnion, who starts his 11th year. "We should be a couple of years from being a contending team in Subsection 6. We hope that improvement will allow them to make it to the championship tournament in the Mid-Minn Conference."

Mike Thyen returns for his second year as head coach and believes PR-B should be more competitive.
"We have two very strong hitters returning in Cole Zebroski and Phil Shequen," said Thyen. "Jason Holden, the ace of our pitching staff, is also returning.
"Again, we have a lot of new faces, but hopefully by playoff time we can come together as a team."
Zebroski hit .491 with 14 RBI. Shequen finished with 13 RBI, two home runs and hit .370.
Holden threw 34 innings, giving up 39 earned runs and 58 hits. He struck out 30 and finished with a 4.73 ERA.
