Ann Weigel-Nieman

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Ann Weigel-Nieman, 53, Bismarck, N.D., died April 6, 2002.

She was born Oct. 23, 1948, in Napolean, N.D., to Baltzer M. and Ida (Bosch) Weigel. She attended elementary school in Kintyre, N.D., and graduated from Napolean High School in 1967. In 1967, she attended the Business College in Minneapolis and then worked for the Navy Department in Washington. In 1969, she moved back to Minneapolis and in 1979 she moved to Brainerd. Then she moved back to Bismark, N.D., on June 1, 1985. She married Mike Nieman on Oct. 29, 1993 in Bismarck, N.D. She was an employee at the VFW Club for a few years and a dayc are provider for 27 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cheryl Schlosser, Bismarck, N.D., and Beth Nelson, Woodbridge, Va.; two sons, James and Kevin Schlosser, both of Brainerd; two step-sons, David and Scott Nieman; six brothers, Victor Weigel, Fargo, N.D., Iggy Weigel, Dickinson, N.D., Ken, Roger, Alvin and Edward Weigel, Bismarck, N.D.; five grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Her parents; two sisters, Leona Fischer and Margaret Weigel; and a brother, Wendy Weigel, died earlier.

Services will be 10 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bismarck, N.D., with Rev. Laurie Natwick officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Monday at Eastgate Funeral Services in Bismarck, N.D., and one hour before services at the church. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral service.
