Dayton sets Wednesday 'meet and greet' in Brainerd

Former Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton will visit Brainerd on Wednesday to listen to Crow Wing County residents and share with them his vision.

The Brainerd "meet and greet" will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Northwest Pizza/Boardwalk Bread n Bagel on Washington Street.

The event comes as part of Dayton's statewide tour of all of Minnesota's "87 counties in 87 days," which started on Jan. 20 with a campaign kick-off announcement at the State Capitol in St. Paul.

By the time Dayton arrives in Brainerd, he will have visited more than 80 of the 87 counties and driven nearly 9,000 miles across Minnesota.
