Area students' works featured in exhibits
GOLDEN VALLEY -- Two area students will participate in events at the Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley.
Pillager senior Lauralee Simons contributed to the Senior Visual Arts Installation Exhibition, currently on display. Pine River-Backus junior Emily Samuelson will perform as part of the Level One Theater Performance April 27-29.

Dylan Days contest seeks writers, poets
HIBBING -- The Dylan Days Creative Writing Contest seeks short fiction and poetry entries. The contest features two divisions, one for the general public and one for high school and undergraduate college students.
Both divisions are divided into two categories, short fiction (1,000-5,000 words, one entry per person) and poetry (no more than two pages, any subject, limit two entries per person).
The entry fee is $5 per poem or short story. Entries must be postmarked by April 15.
