The Mills BodyWorks 2010 YMCA Fitness Challenge will run April 19-May 30 at the Brainerd Family YMCA. This "Spring Tune up" six- week challenge is a yearly event for YMCA members and community members; participants are challenged to drink more water, eat healthy and balance their exercise routines with both cardio and strength training. Individuals are encouraged to set personal goals to tone, gain strength, flexibility, lose weight/inches all while creating an overall healthy lifestyle. Members can register as individuals or form teams. Workouts can be done in or out of the YMCA.
Participants earn points by tracking their workouts and eating habits on their BodyWorks personal training log and recording the results weekly on charts posted at the YMCA. Prize drawings will take place every week for those who earn 60 or more points for the previous week. Every week participants earn 60 or more points, their name will be entered for the grand prize of a complete car detail package from Mills BodyWorks.
Cost for the challenge is $10 which includes weekly prize drawings, a BodyWorks Challenge T-shirt (women's and men's styles), personal training log, coupons from local businesses and a chance to win the grand prize. The challenge is sponsored by Mills BodyWorks. Those interested may sign up now at the YMCA Member Services desk.
