The Central Lakes College Raiders baseball team cranked out 13 and 14 hits in a two-game sweep of Vermilion Saturday.
The Raiders 10-runned the Ironmen 10-0 in the first game and won 17-7 in the second game.
"Hitting had been something that plagued us in the prior six games," said Raiders coach Warren Mertens. "We pounded out a lot of hits, including a couple of home runs. In two games we had 11 extra-base hits out of our 27 total hits. We were slapping the ball around pretty good."
Lynn Chheang of Blooming Prairie hit a solo home run in the second game and finished 3-for-6 with a double and four stolen bases.
Justin Huether hit a 3-run homer in the second game and finished 4-6 in both games. He hit for the cycle and finished with five RBI.
Beau Mertens was 3-3 in the first game. Aaron Jenkins was 3-5. Anthony Turk was 3-4 with a double and two RBI.
Blake Thorson was 4-7 with three RBI in two games.
Ian Drager pitched six strong innings in game one.
"He allowed seven hits and baffled them the whole way," Mertens said of Drager. "He is pitching well in the early season."
