Dr. Arden Anderson, Brainerd family physician was honored by the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians at their annual banquet. Dr. Anderson was presented the merit award for the greatest contribution to family practice in Minnesota in 1974.

Several changes have been made at the Brainerd golf course according to owner John Beyer, including a new professional. Frank Bland of Florida and Gull Lake is named the new pro and plans to open the pro shop April 20.

Elmer Osell, who spends most of his bowling hours throwing strikes and spares for the Moose Lodge team in the city and classic leagues of Brainerd, walked off with first prize in the Brainerd singles tournament as he blasted out an 855 four game mark.

Joe Dunn, a student at the University at Notre Dame, Indiana, is expected to arrive home tonight to spend the Easter vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Dunn.
