Dowson undergoes double bypass

WALKER -- Cass County Commissioner Jim Dowson underwent double bypass surgery last week at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and is expected to return home this week.

County Administrator Robert Yochum, who talked to Dowson Monday, said the commissioner reported noticing an improvement already in the difference the bypass surgery had made for his health.

Because of the surgery, Dowson was unable to attend Tuesday's county board meeting.
