Honor society inducts members at CLC

The Upsilon Omega chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Central Lakes College inducted 27 members March 25 in ceremonies on the Brainerd campus.

Combined with a fall induction of 34, the total of 61 new members is a record for a single year since the Upsilon Omega chapter became active. The chapter has been accorded five-star status as a result of its recent accomplishments and service-related activities.

PTK is the international honor society for two-year college students and is the largest honor society in American higher education with more than 1.3 million members who have achieved membership due to academic standing.

To be eligible for membership a student must have earned a 3.5 GPA while enrolled for at least 12 credits of education at Central Lakes College.
