Helen L. Schoula

Helen Louise Schoula, 86, Brainerd, died Saturday, March 31, 2001, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.

She was born Sept. 6, 1914, in Milwaukee to Karol and Mary (Bykowski) Hatas. She graduated from high school in Milwaukee. She married Joseph Charles Schoula in 1943. They retired and moved to Shawano, Wis., Anoka and then to Brainerd in 1998.

Survivors include a daughter, Gloria Waskey, Crosslake; a son, Charles Schoula, Niagra Falls, N.Y.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carly Hatas, Wisconsin.

Her husband, a sister, three brothers and a grandchild died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. April 21 at Family Center South in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wis.

Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
