Gervais, Crocker MVPs of Warrior basketball team

Senior Ben Gervais and junior Kyle Crocker were voted most valuable players of the Brainerd Warriors boys' basketball team at its banquet Thursday.

Other awards that were announced:

Scholar athletes: Sam Feyder, Ben Gervais, Tyler Kline, Devin Larson, T.J. Struss

All-conference: Kyle Crocker

All-conference honorable mention: Ben Gervais

Hustle Award: Mike Gervenak

Defensive player of year: T.J. Struss

Sam Smith MVP of gymnastics team

Senior Samantha Smith was named MVP of the Brainerd Warriors gymnastics team.

Breezy Point women's golf league luncheon May 7

The Breezy Point women's golf league will host a spring luncheon at 11:30 a.m. May 7 at Mayson's Grill in Pequot Lakes.

The cost is $10 and includes tax and tip. New members are welcome.

The nine-hole league, which plays at 10 a.m. every Thursday, is open to all women. A golf membership is not required. League dues are $30. Handicap fee is $25 plus tax if paid on or before the luncheon ($45 plus tax if paid after).

The first league day is May 14. Players may join anytime during the season.
