C.A.R.E. officers, board members selected

The annual meeting of C.A.R.E., or Coordinating Area Resources Effectively, of Crow Wing County was held March 22.

Officers for the 2002 year are: Rose Kramer, president; Marshall Prescott, vice president; Nancy Hirschenberger, secretary; and Judy Kidder, treasurer. Joining the four officers on the C.A.R.E. board of directors as members at large are: DeAnn Barry, Mandy Copa, Julie Despot, Jason Edens, Ruth Greden, Pam Hagedon, Lisa Hamilton, Joan Johnson, Heather Meyer, Kathleen Stephan and Shelli Urness.

The next C.A.R.E. board of directors meeting will be from noon to 2 p.m. April 15 in the Campbell Room at Bremer Bank in Brainerd. The organization has been working on strategic planning with assistance from the Initiative Foundation's Healthy Organizations Program. Step One of this process was to define the mission statement.

The mission of C.A.R.E. is "to enhance Crow Wing County area human service resources through collaboration, communication and information access."

The 2002 C.A.R.E. directory has been printed and is available for purchase.
