PINE RIVER -- Beverly J. Harder, age 61, died Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan Center in Pine River. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Willim-Northland Funeral Home in Pine River at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2004. A time for fellowship and refreshments will follow at the funeral home provided by the Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Post 202. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Beverly Jane Belsaas was born on Jan. 23, 1943, in Hubbard, the daughter of Ingvald Selmer and Helen Marie (LaRowe) Belsaas. She married Bruce E. Harder on Sept. 23, 1961, in Minneapolis. They made their home in Brooklyn Park until moving to Pine River in 2000. She had worked for General Mills in the Marketing Department and had also worked for Northern Lights Casino. Over the years, they enjoyed their cabin on Webb Lake near Hackensack. Beverly especially enjoyed life, her grandchildren, fishing, gardening and walking. She was a member of the Hackensack Auxiliary Post 202.
Survivors include her husband, Bruce, Pine River; children: Brian, Maplewood; Elizabeth, Brooklyn Park; and Jeffrey (Michelle), Carlton; two grandchildren: Austin and Megan; sister: Holly, Plymouth; two bothers; brothers-in-law, Leon and Alan (Muggsy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and her many friends. Her parents preceded her in death. Arrangements are with Willim-Northland Funeral Home in Pine River.
