DEERWOOD - Iva Hamilton, age 98, of Deerwood, died on March 31, 2008, at the Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin. She was born on Feb. 26, 1910, in Byron Township, Minn., to Nolan and Laura (Lewis) Bickford. She moved with her family from Motley to the Cuyuna Range when she was 3 months old.
She is survived by two sons, Lansin (Idylles) Hamilton, of Deerwood, Richard (Tammy) Hamilton, of Burnsville; two daughters, Vera (Florian) Ridlon, of Cook, Minn., Nancy (Scott Joseph) Hamilton, of Mendota Heights; three daughters-in-law, Ruth Hamilton, of Deerwood, Dolores Hamilton, of Deerwood, and Judy Hamilton, of Cuyuna; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; one son, Earl Hamilton; three brothers, Kenneth, Nolan and Bill Bickford; five sisters, Essie Jones, Hazel Baker, Evelyn Isles, Myrtle Beddow-Thomas and Fern Graton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Thursday at the Koop Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
