CROSBY - Sue Walker, 66, died suddenly at her home in Crosby on March 30, 2008. She was born to Phyllis and Melvin Rasse on Feb. 1, 1942, in Fairbury, Neb. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Bill Walker, in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Sept. 1, 1963, until his death in July 2006.
Sue is survived by her son, Scott Walker and Cara Crowley; daughter, Stefanie, and husband, Eric; their children, Taylor, Amanda and Sam; sister, Nancy, and husband, Roger; brother, Steve, and wife, JoAnn; and numerous loving nieces and nephews; and extended relatives and many friends.
Sue loved her grandchildren, the outdoors, winter, the lake, swimming, windsurfing, jet skiing, children, reading and was very active in the church. She chose to be a stay-at-home mom for many years with Scott and Stefanie and then worked side-by-side with Bill at their business Hali-Brite from 1982-2002. She most recently enjoyed working at the city of Crosby.
Sue's laughter and sense of fun will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Suggested memorials are to the C-I Presbyterian Church of Crosby. Friends may call on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, at the C-I Presbyterian Church in Crosby.
