The logical place to locate a post office in a town is in the downtown area. Oh, yeah, Baxter doesn't have a downtown. Is there even a "central" part of Baxter or is it one long shopping strip?

The Brainerd school finance committee hasn't looked at all the options of reducing the budget. First, the administrators need to take an active role. With a $3 million dollar budget shortfall, which doesn't include the settlements for the 2005-2007 teachers' or administrative contracts, you, the finance committee, and the school board, should revise administrators' contracts so they should pay health insurance premiums on par with teachers rather than receiving health insurance and dental coverage at no cost, saving about $100,000 plus. Also, the gas allowance administrators get should be reduced or eliminated. Help the committee and do your part.
The committee Tuesday recommended school board members pay health insurance premiums on par with teachers, rather than receiving health insurance at no cost, saving $20,700.
