All aboard! That statement means a lot to this week's "Child in Need."
Nine-year-old Nick loves trains and everything about them! Nick is a third-grader who lives with his mom and his older brother. Nick's dad died three years ago and he desperately needs an adult guy to hang around with and do guy things.
Nick's main recreational interest is trains. He loves train museums, model trains, watching trains and collecting trains. However, he does have many other interests, including bike riding, camping, some sports, swimming, bowling, fishing, movies, cooking, painting and animals (he's a huge animal lover!). In addition to all of those interests, Nick loves building things. Right now he is in the process of gathering materials so that he can build a tree house. He said that he's looking for a crew to help him.
Nick has a great personality. Although he's a little shy at first, he loves making new friends and he's an easy-going kid. He loves science, math, gym and computers, and he'd like to have a Kinship Partner because he thinks it would be fun. Mom knows how much Nick is missing out on by not having his dad, and she really would like him to have the chance to have a male companion who is his very own special friend.
All you train builders and collectors, here is a youngster who shares your passion. Nick would be the perfect Kinship Partner for you. Give us a call and before you know it, you and Nick can be "training" together!
