Members of the sixth- through eighth-grade confirmation classes at Zion Lutheran Church will perform a passion play 6:15 p.m. April 9 at Zion. The one-hour show will follow the Gospel's account of Jesus' crucifixion. Zion also will have a short rendition of Jesus' resurrection, according to the Gospel of Matthew, at the 6 a.m. Easter Sunday church service.

St. Andrew's Guild meetings

St. Michael's Guild will meet 1:30 p.m. April 15 in Room 7 at St. Andrew's Church with Marion Gau and Irene Schuety as hostesses and Beatrice Kisor and Jo Fliescher as co-chairs; St. Joseph's Guild will meet 2 p.m. Thursday at the home of Donna Dols with Grace Johnson as co-hostess; St. Christopher's Guild will meet noon April 15 at St. Andrew's Church; St. Patrick's Guild will meet April 14; St. Joseph's Guild will meet Thursday.

Maundy Thursday Communion at Bethlehem

Bethlehem Lutheran Church will celebrate Maundy Thursday Holy Communion at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the fellowship hall in the lower level of the building. Reminiscent of the Last Supper, guests will be seated at tables in candlelight. The service will include a message by the Rev. Mark Skinner and music by members of Bethlehem. Fresh baked Communion bread and individual cups of wine will be served. All confessing Christians are welcome to receive Communion at Bethlehem.

The Price of Love

The Price of Love passion play will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday and 2 and 7 p.m. April 10 at The Warehouse, across from Riverview Church, 307 Norway Ave., Pine River. The event is sponsored by Pine River area churches. For more information, call (218) 587-5404.

Easter sunrise service/breakfast

Bethel Lutheran Church will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service at 6 a.m. followed by breakfast at 7 a.m. April 11. A second service will be at 9 a.m. Bethel is near Brainerd on the corner of Thompson Road and Five Mile Road.
