A Municipal Court jury deliberated five hours before returning a guilty verdict against Roland Fischer, Nisswa, who was charged with failure to send his 9-year-old daughter to school. Fischer's attorney said the verdict will be appealed.

Three hundred dogs in Brainerd will receive new ornaments on their collars this month or take a chance with the cops. Unless new licenses are secured by May 1 their owners will be held responsible.

Word has reached here that E. C. Hoberg, who homesteaded on Pelican Creek was killed while working at a timber camp near Leech Lake. He was swamping and a white pine, two feet thick, which was felled by the choppers, caught him.
