In response to Tuesday's question about a leash law: Don't blame the dog. Blame the inconsiderate human on the other end of the leash. They need to use their own yards for dog waste or carry a plastic bag.
Didn't feel demeaned
This is in reference to the letter printed in Vox Pop about the bridal show at the Women's Expo. There were four females in our group whose ages spanned from teenager to great-grandmother. This wasn't a solemn religious showing of bridal wear but a group of girls having fun. I especially enjoyed the presentation, and, yes, hip swaying, of the unconventional red bridal wear. As for jiggling breasts, females today don't need to wear boned corsets as our mothers and grandmothers did. We didn't feel demeaned as women. Maybe we just don't have suspicious minds.
The enthusiasm is bad because the basketball team is bad. When a team is bad, this community blames the coach. How many coaches has Brainerd had in the past 10 years? Too many. That is administration's fault. Basketball advisory board is not the answer. Brainerd needs good basketball players who have good enthusiasm in the gym. Let the basketball coach do his job and develop good players with new ideas for the junior high and youth programs. The new administrators should listen and help this coach and not turn their backs on him like administrators have done in the past.
Get a lock
To the person complaining about the YMCA losing money, have you ever heard of a lock on your locker? That would eliminate the problem. Think about it. Locker, lock, same thing.
