Brainerd's Transportation Committee today decided to seek additional state funding for a proposed dial-a-ride system after reviewing cost estimates for the project. The dial-a-ride system which would replace the current bus system, provides for door-to-door service within the city.

Thursday Turcotte Brothers sold a lot of sweet pea seeds because tradition has it that planting sweet peas on Good Friday is sure to prove a luxuriant crop. It turned cold on Thursday night and blustery Friday and the seed selling stopped.
