Lakes area advocate group for Alzheimer's to meet April 6

The Lakes Area Memory Awareness Advocates group that has formed in the Brainerd area to look at memory loss will meet at 8:30 a.m. April 6 in the great room at the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center in Brainerd.

Esther Gieschen from the Alzheimer's Association is the group's coordinator. Individuals from facilities and families dealing with memory loss are welcome to attend the meetings.

The group formed to help the lakes area communities prepare for the "dementia wave" that accompanies the much more publicized "Age Wave." This group is currently meeting on a monthly basis.
