Summer hours for AARP tax aides

Crow Wing County mailed the 2010 property taxes Tuesday.

To accommodate taxpayers who have yet to file for their 2009 property tax refunds, AARP tax aides will be available to help hrough April 15 at the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center in Brainerd and the Crosby library on scheduled days.

Limited summer hours will be provided at the senior center from 9-11:30 a.m. May 19, June 23, July 14 and Aug. 11. Call 829-9345 to make an appointment.

The Crosby library property tax help hours will be 1-4 p.m. May 26, June 30 and Aug. 4. No appointments necessary.

To file for the 2009 property tax refund bring your 2009 Social Security 1099SSA, 1099-Rs, 1099 INT, 1099-DIVs, W-2s and include your 2010 property tax statement. AARP volunteers will complete both of these refunds for you.
