MARCH 31 - 80 years ago (1928) - The Washington High School building was completely destroyed by fire last night. The yellow gray walls that housed Brainerd students for the past 43 years was all that remained. Estimate of the damage placed it close to $150,000.

Longtime county auditor dies at 92
Einer Anderson, who for more than 20 years served as Crow Wing County Auditor and was an avid outdoorsman, died Friday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village. He was 92.
